The collection consists of two tiles, each measuring 29 cm (11.4 inches) in diameter. Handmade from white clay and double-fired up to 1200 °C for durability.
Inspired by a remarkable historical photograph of Nestorian children carrying water from 1902, this work reflects the simplicity and inner strength captured in the image. Their quiet resilience moved me to translate their story into clay.
Designed as wall art, each tile features a built-in hanging fixture on the back, allowing for secure and easy wall mounting.
